Talking Clock

The first talking clock, installed at the Paille transmission center in Brussels (known as the “relay room”), remained in operation until the early 1970s. It was replaced by a magnetic-disk system synchronized by an atomic clock. What happened next?... There were four machines (in French, Dutch, and spares). On the wall are the primary clocks that receive the synchronization pulse from the IRM in Uccle.
