NEMU, PPAB en MINI MDF

Brand

Troyan Systems & Alcatel

Years in use

2000 – 2014

The MINI MDF, fitted with Krone blocks, provides the connection between the PayPhones and the telephone lines coming from the exchange. The MINI MDF is connected via a flat cable to the PPAB (PayPhone Application Board), which handles connecting the telephone line to the payphone once approval is granted. The PPAB is in turn connected to the NEMU (Solaris system), which can manage up to 8 PPABs. A CSAM (Banxafe) was also connected to it for managing Proton cards. The NEMU was linked to the ARGUS system, which managed everything, via a megapack. Telecard approval was carried out locally between the NEMU and the PPAB. The PPAB could also operate in standalone mode.
